- Implement a robust behaviour, support and guidance system.
- Deliver a wide and varied curriculum experience that engages pupils, supporting their interests.
- Ensure that everyone is provided access to a broad range of experiences and opportunities designed to develop character and resilience.
- Deliver a broad and balanced EPC curriculum that promotes, empathy, compassion, and understanding.
- Deliver a programme that gives pupils and students the scientific evaluative skills, confidence, knowledge and understanding, to engage in discourse and debate with those in authority.
- Embed a robust programme of independent careers advice that is underpinned by links with FE, HE and employers.
Secondary Pledges
Delta Trust strives to ensure that all young people are confident, employable and have the knowledge, confidence and skills to challenge received wisdom.
This cannot be achieved solely in the classroom, which is why we introduced the Delta Pledges system.
During their time at De Warenne, through years 7 to 11, students are given examples of how to complete each pledge, making all pledges attainable at every level.
Each pledge is designed to be achievable, regardless of background and/or ability in order to ensure that all students benefit from the same experiences and opportunities.
In Y7 this is achieved through a thorough a varied ‘Experiences’ program a fully funded series of events.
In Y8 and Y9 students are offered the chance to take part in the ‘Ambitions’ program, whereby students take part in activities designed to raise aspirations and benefit the wider community.
Y9 and Y10 students have the opportunity to take part in the ‘Duke of Edinburgh’ award scheme, to gain recognition for their efforts in 4 key areas.
Throughout all 5 years, students experience Personal Development Days giving exposure to and experience of a wide range of different cultures and activities to broaden their life experiences.
