Pledges
At De Warenne Academy, we are committed to helping every student grow into a confident, capable, and well-rounded individual. We believe that education should extend beyond the classroom, offering students a wide range of experiences that build character, develop skills, and prepare them for life beyond school.
Our Pledges Programme is designed to give students a panoramic view of the world and what they can achieve. Through a variety of activities and challenges, students are encouraged to explore new interests, develop existing talents, and contribute positively to their community.
Whether you’re passionate about creative arts, music, sport, science, food, technology, or helping others, there is a pledge for you. The programme offers something for everyone — from adventurous experiences to calm and reflective activities. Students are supported in trying new things, extending their enthusiasm, and building lifelong interests.
As part of their journey at De Warenne Academy, students work towards earning pledge badges that recognise their achievements:
| Number of Pledges | Badge Level |
| 3 | Bronze |
| 5 | Silver |
| 7 | Gold |
| 10 | Platinum |
Students can achieve pledges both inside and outside the academy. This encourages them to take pride in their contributions, build self-esteem, and become respectful, responsible members of the wider community. The programme helps students develop confidence, resilience, and a sense of purpose — all essential qualities for future success.
At De Warenne Academy, we celebrate every step of this journey and support our students in becoming the best version of themselves.
